I completed Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This therapy was developed by Dr. John Gottman and Dr. Julie Gottman. It is a cognitive behavioral therapy based on more than 30 years of couples research. The Gottmans learned that in order to make relationships last, couples need to learn how to become better friends, manage conflict, and support each other's hopes and dreams.

The therapy utilizes exercises to teach couples how to achieve deeper levels of connection in their relationships. Many of the exercises focus on improving couples' communication skills; skills the can learn in therapy and practice at home.
